Pros:
  • 25000+ worldwide course preloaded
  • Simple and easy to use
Cons:
  • LCD display can be hard to read in direct sunlight
  • Up to 4-5 hours charge time

Not being a high end golf GPS the IZZO Swami 4000 is very simple and easy to use. Power it on and after taking a few minutes to find and access the GPS satellites, the accurate distance to front, center and back of the green will be displayed for the first hole at the course you are on. Distance changes as you move and rapidly settles when you stop with no lag. Glance down at it then grab the appropriate club for the distance and conditions with confidence. The IZZO Swami 4000 comes preloaded with over 25000 courses from around the world so there are no computer downloads needed and even better there are no subscription fees.

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts more than 10 hours so you can use it for a couple of games before charging. Large buttons and easy to read numbers and letters on the vibrant 1.8 inch color display are great especially if you usually wear glasses but don't when you play golf. The screen is readable even in full sun although some people have reported it's difficult to see some details on the screen in bright, direct sunshine but the IZZO Swami 4000 fits in the palm of your hand and can be easily tilted to compensate. The waterproof housing means you can still use the IZZO Swami 4000 golf GPS even if you get caught playing in the rain.

Accessories included are an AC charger, a USB cable, a belt clip and a protective carry bag. Additonal features include a course map edit function to let you re-program front, center or back distances, auto hole advance so it changes to the next hole without pressing a button, shot distance measurement and an electronic scorecard that provides useful information for each hole of the course.

Accurate, fast and simple to use the IZZO Swami 4000 golf GPS is full of great features and is hard to pass up at the price.
